Medium frequency water cooled capacitors are mainly used in induction melting and induction hardening furnaces.

Capacitor dielectric is bi-axially oriented hazy film (BOPP), electrode is pure aluminum foil having purity 99% and above and oil is NPCB (All film or APP dielectric). Capacitors are having very high output in a non-ferritic metal container (Aluminum and Brass). Hence to dissipate heat loss the capacitor elements are cooled with water cooling media thru copper tubing. The cooling copper tubes of the capacitor also carry high RMS current. To match perfect frequency tuning, capacitors are given equal or unequal output taping. These capacitors are single phase.
